Living my agenda
I woke up feeling with a sudden terror, that I missed something. I had lost my agenda! My children’s wellbeing is important to me. Their wellbeing at school, their self values and confidence and their friendship building, are on the top of my priorities. Recently we had to choose a new school for our kids and the change is of course huge in a child’s life. It is so important to feel seen and respected and to have confidence in the grownups around you to build your own confidence and love of learning. Even more important than staying at the school where all your best friends are.
I though about my decision to start the day with a healthy vegetable smoothie every morning and slowly changing my diet. I prepared for it and have kept the promise to myself every morning since (except for the day we slept in shelters around the fire and had pancake cooked over fire for breakfast). Suddenly my kids got the idea that they also wanted a smoothie……but not my kind of smoothie, more like at strawberry-banana smoothie! I thus found myself making strawberry-banana smoothie for my kids and then afterwards the smoothie for me. First without the ginger so the kids could taste it, and then with ginger…and then with more liquid as my husband likes it…..
And it became clear to me !
I was losing my agenda in this.
I realize that I must be able to be balancing these agendas with my agenda. What are my goals and where am I heading? How do I manage to still support my family and at the same time not forgetting my own agenda and goals?
And it is not only an agenda with our children in the middle that is challenging. To constantly be balancing the agendas and expectations of the people around me is a challenge.
I had to get reinforce my request working with the BELONGING method. ReMembering my journey and make sure, that my decisions align.
Do you have an agenda?
Do you live your agenda?
What do you do to keep hold on your agenda?
